About Fairhaven Jamaica is a land of tremendous beauty and warmth. The people of this Caribbean island are quick to smile and quick to make visitors feel welcome. But, there is tremendous need in this vacation paradise. Poverty abounds and most Jamaicans are struggling to survive. In this setting, our mission is to enable short term mission groups for effective ministry during their time in Jamaica. By providing a base of operation, as well as guidance about how to best plug into the long-term ministries that exist throughout Jamaica, we hope to help maximize the impact of each group’s ministry. We have been operating in this location since Fall of 2003. Fairhaven was initiated to be a self-sustaining part of Jamaica Link Ministries with the hope that within the first three years of operation money generated from Fairhaven could be used to support other in -country ministries. Many short-term groups and several dedicated board members have helped turn Fairhaven into the high-quality facility it is today. All profits generated by Fairhaven go directly to the support of in-country ministries as directed by Jamaica Link Ministries.
