Worked at Cornwall Mountain All Age in the parish of
Westmoreland. The team assisted teachers and did arts
and craft projects with the students. The team also
engaged in the major project of equipping the school's
resource room with new computers.
This is the 4th year for this school. Their ministry in
Jamaica consist of visiting orphanages, conducting
devotions in schools and doing work projects at Jamaica
Christian School for the Deaf and Fairview Baptist Bible
College.

The group, led my Lee Ditman, held devotions in
schools, did work projects at Jamaica Christian School

Bible college. They also brought with them supplies for
the different ministries.
An ABWE short
term expedition mission team led by Don Chapin. They
participated in a week of VBS at Faith Baptist Church in
Flankers Montego Bay with Pastor Delroy Campbell and
visited various orphanages in the parish.
Kings of Kings
Lutheran Church, Minnesota
For one week, July 1-14, the team, guided by Erin
Swenson, worked at Robin's Nest Children's Home.
First Baptist Church
of Danville, Indiana
Under the leadership of Gary Crawford the
team did 'walk and witness' in Montego Bay,
Savanna-La-Mar, Black River and Mandeville (four major
parish capitals). The teams also participated in youth
rallies at Faith Baptist, Calvary Baptist and Black
River Baptist Church. Their ministry in the island also
included participating in the sports day at FBBC, as
well as visiting orphanages and taking part in the
worship service at several churches.
Colonial Baptist Church, North
Carolina
During their week long stay the group, led
by Pastor Dave Loftis, held concerts at a number of
churches as well as participated in a sports camp at
FBBC.
The Group, lead by Lindsey Baker and Kristin
Bronson, spent
three weeks in the island; volunteering at Robin's Nest in
their first week. Their second week was spent conducting
devotions in schools, and engaging the children at Blossom
Gardens and West Haven children homes. In the final week
the group did art and craft and provided homework
assistance at the Peace and Justice Centre in Flankers Montego Bay. The Group also participated in the church
service and Sunday school at McField Baptist Church,
Hillview Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church.
No stranger to missions, the group have been
doing ministry in Jamaica for over twelve (12) years.
their ministry includes engaging schools and churches
through puppetry, drama and music. On this mission trip
DOXA conducted devotions in several schools in Montego
Bay, worked with Sharmaine Sheeves of Child Evangelism
Fellowship, and spent a week in Black River (in the parish
of St. Elizabeth) doing devotions in schools along side
Catherine Brown of the C.E.F.
Southfield
Christian High School, Detroit MI
On their second
mission trip to Jamaica, the group had thirty-one
students. Under the direction of leaders Matt and Cheri Whiteford the group held devotions on Mondays and Tuesdays
through out various elementary schools (referred to as
primary schools in Jamaica). They also visited and held
devotions at the Copse Boys Home, Westhaven children
home, Blossom Gardens, Robin's nest, Garland Hall and
spent two days working at the Jamaica Christian
School for the Deaf. That is not all, they did some
painting at Faith Baptist Church and Fairview Baptist
Bible College . Finally, spending an evening with
the youth group at the New Testament Church of God in
Montego Bay.

Calvary Bible
Fellowship Church
With twenty-one members the group arrived in Jamaica
ready to work hard in their mission to construct a roof for
the staff housing unit at the Jamaica Christian School for
the Deaf.
The group worked along with Pastor Barnett in Lilliput.
They performed ministry with families and in orphanages.
They also assisted the church in the construction of pews.

Dennis Fields
and friends ministered in residential institutions devoted
to children including; Blossom Gardens Children Home,
Copse Place of Safety for boys in need of care and
protection, and West Haven Children Home for children with
disabilities. The group also conducted a health fair at
McField Baptist Church.

Southfield
Christian High School 'there is no
place like hope mission trip'
The group consisted of
thirty representatives from the school; twenty-six
students and four teachers. They conducted devotions in
various schools and engaged the students, of the Jamaica
Christian School for the Deaf, in activities that were fun
and educational, helping them to develop a sense of
accomplishment. They also shared their technical skills
through the construction of window screens and the tiling
of the bathrooms at the Robin's Nest Children Home.
This group was comprised of two highly qualified special
education professionals and two additional team members.
The team volunteered in the classrooms at the Victory
Christian pre-school, Jamaica Christian school for the
deaf, and Robin's Nest Children's Home. Additionally,
the team partnered with Sam Sharpe Teachers College
and Jamaica Link Ministries to hold two education seminars
for teachers and students at the college.
This group partnered with Delroy Campbell, Pastor
of Faith Baptist Church. They ministered in several
of the church services, did street evangelism, and did
devotions in some of the local schools. This team also
worked at Fairview Bible College refurbishing the women's
dorm.
This group ministered in many of the children’s
homes in the parish of St. James including, Blossom
Gardens, Westhaven, COPSE Place of Safety and Robin’s
Nest.

Organized and led Vacation Bible School programs at
Faith Baptist Church and McField Baptist Church.
Emmanuel Baptist
Church, MI
This group spent their days doing ministry in hospitals,
nursing homes and orphanages. Their evenings were spent
at Bird Mountain Baptist church where they held a Vacation
Bible School program.
Returning to Jamaica for their second trip this year,
these students donated and built a playground at Jamaica
Christian School for the Deaf. They also helped sponsor
a cookout and beach day for 16 boys from Copse Place
of Safety.
Supported Pastor Blackwood and Pastor
Bruce at the Victory Christian Fellowship church plant
in Falmouth. This youth group held outreach meetings
for the neighborhood children and teens each morning
and spent the afternoon working at the church. The church
building was completed by the end of the week and there
was a dedication service during the last morning of
the youth outreach program.
Worked alongside members of Hillview Baptist Church
to support their VBS program. This team also did puppet
ministry at Blossom Gardens orphanage.
Geist Community Church, Indianapolis,
IN
Organized and led a Vacation Bible School program
at Faith Baptist Church.
North Baptist Church, NY
This group divided into a work team and a Vacation
Bible School team. The VBS was held at Oasis Baptist
Mission while the work team completed several projects
at Oasis and Fairhaven Christian Retreat Center.

Organized and led a Vacation Bible School program at
Independence Hall Baptist Church.

Calvary Baptist
Church, KY
This youth group enthusiastically completed some backbreaking
work during their week in Jamaica. They worked at Faith
Baptist Church in Flankers clearing, cleaning and painting
the lines for the parking lot there. They also participated
and ministered in the church services there. The Calvary
team also worked at Jamaica Christian school for the
deaf digging a ditch in preparation for a fence that
will be installed this summer.
This group was comprised of two optometrists,
three optometry students and nine workers. They held
five clinics in three different locations: two in Montego
Bay, and one in Westmoreland. They saw approximately
800 patients and helped many of those improve their
vision with glasses, eye drops and referrals to local
doctors.
Their ministry was done in connection
with local churches. These clinics gave the local church
a chance to reach out and help their communities with
a pressing physical need.
During their 10 days in Jamaica, this high school chorale
group put on numerous concerts in churches across the
island, visited and lead several public school devotions,
and held one assembly at a community college. They also
visited COPSE boys home where they held an assembly
and played with the boys. As a result of their visit
to Jamaican Christian School for the deaf, another group
is coming this August to build a playground for the
children there.
Jeremy Beadner and four of his friends came to Jamaica
to help at McField Baptist church in Westmoreland. They
completed a water collection system as well as some
interior and exterior painting. Jeremy and his business
partner plan to return later this year to help with
another project.
March 2005
Azusa Pacific University: CA
A team of 11 undergratuate students led by a graduate
working on his Master's. The Azusa team worked at Jamaican
Christian School for the deaf installing a finished
ceiling in new classroom and painting the girls dorm
and bunk beds. They also spent three days helping at
Robin’s Nest Children’s Home.
Several student from this year's trip are interested
in coming to Jamaica with another team next spring.
A group of three students came to work at Jamaican
Christian School for the Deaf. They rescreened many
of the windows there, painted, repaired the broken swingset
and spent time with the children that board there.
One member of that team is interested in returing with
the Judson College Volleyball team for a week of ministry
next spring.
Catherine is an elementary school teacher and is
extremely
gifted with children. She worked with the children at
Blossom Gardens Orphanage and at Jamaican Christian
School for the Deaf. Upon returning to the States, she
began to raise awareness about the ministries that she
participated in or heard about while she was here. She
also got her first grade students involved by having
them become pen pals to the students at JCSD.

Baptist Church: Hastings, MI
This group was a mixed age church group. Their team
worked extensively giving Fairhaven Christian Retreat
Center much needed renovations. They also did evangelism
ministry and orphanage visitation.
An Eye Care medical missions team is coming from this
church later in 2005.
